Meshing Centrifugal Compressor

      Good morning,

for my final degree i need to perform a cfd analysis of a centrifugal compressor. For meshing process I use TurboGrid. For have a complete control over the boundary layer, I want to calculate the correct number of cells inside it. From User's Guide, it is possible calculate the number of cells present in boundary layer with a very simple formula:

Base Count * Global SIze Factor * (Factor Base + Factor Ratio*Global Size Factor).

I have already understood all the parameters except for Base count.

I tried to find it inside TurboGrid panels but I failed.

Could anyone explain the meaning of "BASE COUNT" words?

Where can i find that value?

How can i calculate Base Count Parameter?

      Thanks in advance
