Ansys EmployeeI assume you are okay using APDL commands In Mechanical. You can insert command object under the line geometry and add the coomands to change the secdata.

Subscriberthank you for this information. I have noticed that this works. But why does ANSYS Mechanical not render the new section like APDL does?

Ansys EmployeeThe reason is these commands are executed while solving in background not in GUI.
