Mesh STL-FIle in Mechanical without converting it to solid

  Hello ANSYS-Community,nis it possible to mesh a STL-model in Mechanical? It has about 300.000 facets, so i don't want to convert it to solid in Spaceclaim.nIf yes, wich mesh options do i have to select?nBest regardsnTheon

  Hi,nBased on my knowledge there is no direct way to mesh a stl model directly in Mechanical. The easiest way is by converting it to solid. This previous post on a similar topic might help:nnSain
