SubscriberHi everyone. I wanted to know if we can split a surface in meshing and use different sizing for each section. Consider a simple rectangular and want to split it to two sections and then mesh it. I know I can do it in DM or SC, but need to know if it possible in meshing too or not.
Thanks

Forum ModeratorNot by splitting. You can use local sizing to alter the edge mesh which will effect the surface mesh.Â

Ansys Employeeyou can use virtual topology.Â
right click on model in structure tree and insert virtual topology.Â
then select any edge in graphics and right click.Â
split that edge.Â
similarly split opposite edge.Â
select two vertices and right clickÂ
split the face.Â
please go through help for more details about virtual topology.Â

Keyur
