SubscriberHi, I am starting to use Ansys (the Students Version) for my final project so I am not very used to it. I need to analyze a bike frame (designed using Autodesk Inventor and exported to .iges) and the mesh keeps failing no matter the parameters I change (I tried with different methods, sizing...). I thought the problem was only in a specific zone but when I removed it the mesh failed in other zone which was meshing correctly before changing the geometry. I tried with the virtual topology as the programme suggested but it didn't work. The examples in youtube with similar geometries don't cause any problems so I don't know how to fix it.
I have thought in modeling the bike frame with other programme (maybe AutoCad or Catia) but I am not sure if it will work.
This are the error messages I get when I tried to mesh it.
This is how it looks the problematic geometry (as I told before, if I remove that part from the design the problem moves to another zone but it looks similar). Those tubes should be solid and looking at the imagen seems as if they were empty surfaces and the outer one had disappeared (but they are not, I checked it).
I have attached the .iges file in case it is usefull to understand my problem.
Â
Thank you in advance for the help.
