Can anyone here enlighten me on setting up periodical translational motion in Maxwell? I referred to help file on this topic and this is what it mentions:

 

So I tried setting up the band object based on the statement above, when I ran it this error appeared:

    [info] Verify conduction path: Conduction path validate success. (11:35:59 PM  Jun 10, 2025)
    [error] Error in mesh mapping on band, please check the potential problem in band setting. 114 (11:36:01 PM  Jun 10, 2025)
    [error] Simulation completed with execution error on server: Local Machine. (11:36:01 PM  Jun 10, 2025)

 

How should I set up master /slave BCs to clear this error? Should the moving object face coincide with band object surface perpendicular to moving direction?

Hi,

To setup the Tranlational motion you should have a Band and a Inner Band. The Inner Band should contain the moving objects and it should be close to them.

In this particular example, the lengt of all the objects in the Y axis should be the same and the Matching boundary (Master/Slave) should be applied in the Region surfaces as highlighed in the Help document.
