I have the following problem: I have created a geometry with very fine meshing in pyMAPDL. If I now want to import the cdb. file into ANSYS Mechanical, either the material data is lost (is simply no longer displayed in ANSYS Mechanical) or the import fails completely.
If the meshing is less fine, everything works perfectly. I suspect that the problem is due to too many nodes. What can I do?

Hi Bjarne
What material models are you using? The External Model component in Workbench does not support every material model that MAPDL can define. Check the Workbench help on the External Model system for more information (if you have access).
Do you link the External Data to the Engineering Data of the Analysis System too?
