July 17, 2024 at 12:09 pmsurmalumyanSubscriberÂHi!ÂI want to analyse CNT(Carbon nanotubes) cement matrix in Ansys, by using MD,ÂÂSince the CNT diameter is almost 15nm, the meshing process starts to be inaccurate.ÂThere is the space for the maximum size for elements, whatever I write in these space CNT's triangulation size is not changing (keeping small sizes), making difficulties in the next parts of MD.ÂHow to increase the triangulation size of CNT?ÂRegards, Suren MalumyanÂThank you a lot.

Hello Suren,Â
I assume you are using SpaceClaim meshing? what are the units of your document? You can check this in File > SpaceClaim Options > Units... and set the length to something smaller to increase the precision.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I used SpaceClaim to create the mesh, since MD is in the SpaceClaim.
The units chosen are nanometers,
The aspect ratio for MWCNT is 500-1000. (ex., diameter is 20 nm, length 20*500 nm),
How can I reduce the quantity of meshing triangulation, if I already have put the maximum value for the element size.?

Please can you answer how can I model nanoparticles with accurate meshing?
