SubscriberIs there any reason that control_adaptive does not work with mat_add_inelasticity coupled with a hyperelastic material model?

Ansys EmployeeHi Dennis,Â
Based on my evaluations, I have tested this combination using tet elements under both implicit and explicit conditions, and I can confirm that employing R14 and later solvers (as tested) operates without errors or issues when using MAT_ADD_INELEASTIICTY in conjunction with MAT_077_H. The following image presents the corresponding results.
So I am not sure about the point that made you conclude that the given combination does not work. Have you found any errors while it is solving?
Cheers, RamÂ

SubscriberHi Ram, sorry for such a late response.  Below is what I see.  I am not sure if this is because I am on a student license at home that this is happening...I also used Mat_77 with mat_add_inelasticity.  If your example is working, then I am sure it should work and it's probably something going on with my home student license setup.  I will try this at work next and see if it's still an issue.  If it is still an issue, I will submit a formal support case since it would be work related.Â
Thank you!Â
