Hello everyone, I'm working with a wavy duct and my focus is not close to the wall but rather on the shear layer developing above the wave. I'm aiming for very fine resolution from peak to peak. I'm using a structured mesh which makes it difficult with standard meshing techniques. However, when I use adaptive meshing, it refines in both axes, and I don't really need high refinement in the x-direction but in the y-direction. Is there a solution? I've attached an image to better illustrate what I'm aiming for.

Refinement splits the cells as you're seeing, and there isn't an option to just split in one direction other than anisotropic which is often used to split inflation meshes. That option has other limitations so may not behave as you'd like.Â
