SubscriberHello, I'm trying to write a UDF for a modified Random Walk Model for particle tracking, which I plan to compare to the standard Random Walk model available in FLUENT. Could you please tell me which macro files I need to use to change the Random Walk model? Thank you in advance.

Forum ModeratorAt a guess you'd turn the stochastic tries off and need to code up a DPM_SOURCE UDF to mimic the effect. Just remember to release a lot more parcels to replicate the effect of the tries.

SubscriberThank you Rob. Let me check DPM_SOURCE. The particle number flow rate is passing as an argument. I am looking, is there any separate macro for calculating the stochastic tracking variables

Forum ModeratorPass, the header files might have something, but as you're writing your own you may need to refer to the turbulence values.
