Hello, can someone from Ansys please help me understand when the new ls-dyna student version will be made available?  the current one ends soon and I just want to know the new one's coming!

Hi Nanda, what I meant is the Ansys student ls-dyna here :  https://www.ansys.com/academic/students/ansys-ls-dyna-student.

It is currently only avaialble in 2024R1 and I was wondering if anyone knows when they will release the next version?

Also, I am not able to get email notfiication for the LS-Dyna forum replies.   Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hello Dennis,

The student product team has encountered some licensing challenges and has yet to come up with a solution. Unfortunately, I can't comment on its availability yet. Hopefully, our student product team will be able to release LS-DYNA for students in the 2025r2 version. Until then, please keep using the version that works.

Regarding the notification issue, I connected with the team that maintains this website. They are looking at your account as we speak.

Hi Nanda, thank you so much!  Hopefully we can extend the license past the end date (July 31st?) in the worst case they can't release the new version on time?

Yes, hopefully we should be able to extend the license beyond the end date. However, I'm not aware of how to do this. I'll check with the licensing team to know more details and follow up with you.

Hello Dennis,

If the student product team is unable to provide LS-DYNA in the 2025r2 version as well, you can continue using the 2024r1 version. The license file on the student page will be upgraded accordingly during the 1st or 2nd week of July 2025.
