Hi,

I've been using LS-DYNA for a while. Is there a list of Error and Warnings with an explanation?

can you be more specific in what error or warning you are facing ?
there is whole lot of errors and Warnings which might originated from different aspects like (licencing, Materials,units mismatch, Improper Card definition, used Methods like (sph, spg, efg, iga etc), solver versions e.t.c).

Thanks Ram, in the past I have encountered several types of errors and warnings and I did not understand them.
I'd be interested to have the list of the most common ones (20-30), and the likely causes, and how to avoid them. I'm especially interested in Materials, divergence problems, etc, etc

Hello Jesus Each message has a unique integer id. For certain error and warning messages you can obtain further information than what is written in the messag and d3hsp files. If you know the message id in advance and you want to check if further information is available, please add the command msg=message_id in the execution line for LS-DYNA, in the same manner you specify the input file (i=input.k). This will not run LS-DYNA, but will just output the message. For example, try to execute:
lsdyna.exe msg=40500
msg=all will output a file d3msg that contains all the available messages.
