Line Body, Surface Connections and offsets

      Hey,

I have created a line body structure, provided with a L cross section. And while putting surface of thickness around 3 mm. I am facing this issue where the line body and surface are overlapping each other

I tried to change the "offset type" setting from " centroid" to "origin" for line body and "Bottom" in case of the surface body.

But couldn't get the desired result. (As in reality sheet should be placed above the beams)

Can someone help with this problem?

      Thanks and Regards

      OM

Where are you providing the offset, in mechanical? If so, this will be applied at the solver level.

Alternatively, you may alternatively try to use the part transform feature introduced in Mechanical 2019R1.

Why not just take the model to SpaceClaim and move it as needed to account for the physical separation.
