License activation problem

      Hello 

      Will the license activation problem be fixed soon?
      The problem concerns after you log in and SpaceClaim loads and then closes on its own, in order to activate it you have to use the cmd.

      This problem was reported by a colleague of mine 1 month ago

      Hello Roberto, 

      This is a known issue with SpaceClaim 2023 R2 and is expected to be resolved soon. Only SpaceClaim is affected because its copy of Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll is slightly different than the copy used elsewhere.

      The issue can be corrected by copying Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll from elsewhere to the scdm folder:

      Copy from: $(AWP_ROOT232)\Subscription\bin\Win64\Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll

      to: $(AWP_ROOT232)\scdm\Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll

      The file you want is 1,407 KB.

      Hello Devendra,
      I refer to your answer to Roberto. I cannot confirm, that it only applies to Spaceclaim. It is a general licence activation problem and happens whenever you intend to move the licence from one machine to the next.

      With all respect to your answer, but it cannot be the users responsibility to modify files on his system. In my understanding it is Ansys to supply a bug fix and fast. The issue is known quite long now.

      The issue has been addressed in 2023 R2 service pack 2, which just released last week. You can downalod the service pack from here Discovery Downloads - Ansys Knowledge

      Has the problem of having to select the single users license in the discovery folder also been resolved?
