SubscriberHello,
I want to understand the resolution of the mesh I have for a RANS simulation to be adequate for an LES simulation. In the Ansys Fluent manual, it is indicated that this can be activated in Beta features (12.1. Estimation of the LES Resolution Quality)
:
I activated the Beta features in the Fluent, but I could not find something under Solution Export or any other field. Can someone guide me through this? Thank you.

Forum ModeratorIt looks like it's in the Unsteady Statistics, have you run a transient model and set the unsteady sampling?

SubscriberHi rob, thank you for replying. I was looking first at steady state solution. But, when I looked for it in unsteady case as you suggested, I did not see under unsteady sampling either. Anything reported in unsteady sampling should also appear on the Export--->solution data which I could not find it. I would appreciate if you please attach a screenshot if there is such an option. Maybe, I have missed it.

SubscriberOh ok I found it. We can see it under Contour--->Turbulence--->LES Resolution Estimate

SubscriberThat's the Estimate, but you are looking for the Quality. To see it you need to activate Data Sampling -> Sampling Options -> Flow Shear Stresses. If you have already averaged the solution there's no need to perform again the data sampling, this is needed just to show the LES Resolution Quality parameter.
