Hi everyone. I'm trying to modeling a sandwich panel made of three plies in ansys Mechanical, using layered section. The plies have variable thickness along the axis of the wing. In the worksheet of layered section it is possible to set a constant thickness value for the ply. Is it possible to set a variable thickness for the ply?

Hey,
Check out this link - How to define variable thickness shell elements in ANSYS Mechanical? Is there any verification example of the variable thickness shell modal analysis available? - Ansys Knowledge
Let me know if this worked.
Thanks
