Hello I am working on a problem for my FEA class where I have to solve for temperature distribution and heat loss between a wall and soil. I have solved for temperature distribution as seen in the picture I am sharing but I am wondering now if there is a way to solve for heat loss in ANSYS?
Thank you

Please reply with details on each boundary condition applied to this model. An overview is shown when you click on the Steady State Thermal item in the Outline.

This file is saved on a school computer and the school is closed today so I don't have access to it. The model looks like the picture I've attached.
To the left surface I applied:Ambient temperature, T=68 F
Thermal conductivity, k=1.0 BTU/hr.ft.F
To the right surface I applied:
Ambient termperature, T=15 F
Thermal conductivity, k=0.85 BTU/hr.ft.F
The questions also mentions the heat transfer coeficient for each surface.
Left surface, U=1.46 BTU/hr.ft^2.F
Right surface, U=6.0 BTU/hr.ft^2.F
Let me know if this works or if I need the file. I may be able to get it from someone.

There are two different boundary conditions: 1) a Temperature boundary condition which enforces a specific temperature on a surface and 2) a Convection boundry condition, which has an Ambient Temperature input and a Film Coefficient. When you say Ambient temperature above, are you referring to boundary condition of type 1 or type 2 because it's not clear the way you wrote your reply.
Also, are you doing a 2D problem or a 3D problem. That is also not clear because a surface in 2D is the edge of the rectangle, while in 3D it is the face of the rectangle.

I used type 2, a convection boundary condition. And the model is set 2D, I applied the convection on the edges.
