SubscriberI want the liquid fuel and oxidizer to flow through the injectors into the domain and combust. Do I need multiphase? Split into seperate cell zones? Should I just add the liquids to the mixture? If so how do I specify how density is calculated. Ideal gas wouldn't work anymore. I have read a few papers that did similar things and didnt use multiphase but its unclear to me why its not necesary

Forum ModeratorIf the injected material is a liquid it'll need to evaporate to then burn, so you will need a multiphase model with phase change to handle this part of the set up. You'd then need species models on the gas side to handle the reaction and both reactants and product species. Note, this will not be a trivial calculation as if you don't get the phase change working well there won't be anything to react.Â
