SubscriberHi everyone,
with reference to the attached video, is the command used for LES model (rpsetvar 'les-2d? #t) same for both 3d and 2d or should it be
(rpsetvar 'les-3d? #t)Â for 3d? because when I do this for my 3d case,it states:Undefined variable

Ansys EmployeeLES is actually only 3D and that is the default behavior. You do not need to activate any hidden flag. 2D LES is just a "goodie" and not recommended and I will say is not as one would expect from real LES.

SubscriberThank you very much for your kind reply. It means it is just a default laminar simulation.

SubscriberI mean the default setting of Fluent is for LES, there is no need to activate it by any command.

Forum ModeratorYou can turn LES turbulence on in the viscous models panel. Fluent defaults to laminar or k-omega depending on which version you're using.Â
