Inverse design of y-branch

      Dear all,

I downloaded the "inverse design y-branch" simulation file provided on the website and ran it. However, the issue is that the transmission plot shown on the website (please find the attachment), where the transmission is almost 1 for a range of wavelengths from 1300nm to 1800nm, cannot be the same as what I obtained (please see the second attached photo).

I would appreciate it if you could assist me.

      Best regards,
      FK

It seems you are simulating 3D FDTD, right?

where is the port source and where is the transmission monitor? in one port or it covers both ports on the right?

        yes, I am.

The port source is located in the left side and the monitor is located in the right side which covers both ports.

For the 3D case, I did not duplicate the results either. Maybe something was changed. we need time to dig up.

I wonder, could you find the problem with what happened to the transmission?”

I guess that you placed the monitor in one of the output waveguides. In the example it uses only one output with anti-sym boudaries conditions so the transmission is close to one. You did not use such symmetry BC.

      Please check.

Thank you very much, my problem has been solved.
