SubscriberWhen I choose "skip intersection checks" in the design settings, and I have intersections between different dielectrics, which one wins in the intersection region?
Thanks
Georg

SubscriberFinally I have found the rule. It is simple: The smaller object wins over the larger one, no matter of the size of the intersection region.

Thanks for reaching to us and sharing your thoughts.
Please note that this is true only when the small object is fully surrounded by the larger object in all directions.
If not then it is treated as error and the model has to be rectified.
All the very best Praneeth.

SubscriberHi Praneeth thanks for your answer. The statement with the surrounding object is a documented feature. In the original post I addressed the case where "skip intersection checks" is active. In this case you will not get an error message, even if there is no full enclosure. Then the smaller object wins over the larger one, no matter of the size or shape of the intersection region. According to my experiments, small and large is a matter of volume, not shape.
Cheers
Georg
