SubscriberI had a licensing issue a couple of days ago which made mechanical and spaceclaim to not open. I did a complete uninstall of ANSYS workbench 2023 and the license manager application. I reinstalled the license manager and added my license file which was successful. However I downloaded the structures package again and ran the setup file. The installation was successful and i had selected all the products to be installed on my computer. However when i run workbench now, not all component systems are showing. I need static structural as a system which is not available to me. I have attached the picture. The options are there in toolbox customisation, but am not able to insert them into the workspace.

Ansys EmployeeHi Avrok,
If License Manager is installed locally, then please mention localhost in Ansys Licensing Setting utility, click test and save it.

Ansys EmployeeHi Avrok,
Don't save it, still an error. Is the license manager and application on the same machine?

Ansys EmployeeAre you able to ping or telnet your server, in the command prompt try using cmd “ping servername” and “telnet servername 1055”?
To ON telnet service go to start and search “Turn Windows feature on or off” check box “Telnet Client” and click ok.
Go to the start menu, open the command prompt, and run the below-mentioned commands:
- ping servername
type this command and send the screenshot of the output.
- telnet servername portnumber
A blank screen will confirm that you are connected, if you get any other output, please provide a screenshot of the same.

Ansys EmployeeHi Avrok,
Go to path C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\licensing\license_files (by deafult) open ansyslmd.ini file and instead of servername mention localhost. Restart the license manager once you do it. Launch the Ansys Licensing Settings Utility and mention localhost over there and save it. (run as admin)
