Input Stiffness Matrix Onto A 3D Geometry In Ansys

      Hi,

I am attempting to input a stiffness matrix onto a 3D geometry in Ansys to conduct a static structural and modal analysis simulation but I am unaware about how to input the matrix. Some help on this matter would be appreciated.

The simulation consists of a dumbell shaped geometry (call it a flexure) with a weighted cube mass on the top surface. The stiffness matrix is to be placed on the dumbell geometry (flexure). The top surface is constrained in x,y,z rotations and free to translate in x,y,z via a remote displacement. The bottom surface is constrained in all degrees of freedom via a fixed constraint.

The simulation analysis consists of inputting an anisotropic material and thus inputting its respective denisty and elasticity matrix. This information has been provided. But am unware how to input it as the literature martix (xx,yy,zz,yz,xz,xy) is different than that of the ansys matrix (xx,yy,zz,xy,yz,xz).

A research partner has performed this process already on COMSOL and has input the matrix directly and has provided a step-step guide on how to do it on Ansys because I can not directly input it, but I am still confused.

Help on how to input this into Ansys would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The matrix I am attempting to I assume, convert, and input into Ansys, is provided below.

      Stiffness Matrix:
      165.7e9, 63.9e9, 63.9e9, 0, 0, 0
      63.9e9, 165.7e9, 63.9e9, 0, 0, 0
      63.9e9, 63.9e9, 165.7e9, 0, 0, 0
      0, 0, 0, 79.6e9, 0, 0,
      0, 0, 0, 0, 79.6e9, 0
      0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 79.6e9

      Hi,

Please see if the following post helps: How to assign stiffness matrix. (ansys.com)
