SubscriberHi
I'm trying to mesh a 2d geometry and I need to put inflation around an aerofoil. I also need match control on the same model. But when I set up inflation on my mesh it overrides the match control.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you -

Forum ModeratorCheck the manual for limitations: also try setting inflation after match control? What are you meshing, and which solver are you going to use?

SubscriberHi, I have the same problem.nFor my master's thesis I'm simulating the flow around blades of a steam turbine. I want to generate an unstructured mesh with an inflation layer at the walls (for k-omega SST model). Addytionally at the top and at the bottom boundary I need periodic boundary conditions. Hence I need the match control. Out of any reason match control and an inflation layer is not possible at the same time. For the geometry I'm working with Design Modeler.nAttached you can find a picture of the simulation domain. Left boundary = Inlet, Right Boundary = OutletnnDoes anyone know how it is possible to fix this problem? (Design Modeler, Ansys Meshing, Ansys Fluent)nnThanks a lot!n

SubscriberI really tried everything. The methods support match control and inflation layer as well, separatelly. But it seems that it is not possible to set the match control and an inflation layer on the same part. If I define match control, the inflation is not working (Box Active--> No, Overriden) and vice versa.n -

SubscriberIn this post https://cfd.ninja/ansys-meshing/ansys-meshing-match-control/ the following is written:nMatch controls on faces are supported with Pre inflation, regardless of whether inflation is set to Program Controlled or has been set through any global or local inflation definition. In contrast, match controls on edges are not supported with Pre inflation. Match controls (both faces and edges) are not supported with Post inflation. For non-supported cases, ANSYS Workbench automatically suppresses/disables the Match Control feature.nSo does it mean with Ansys Meshing the combination of match control on edges and an inflation layer is not possible???n -
