Hi, I’ve done a simulation of a Transmitarray structure with an impinging plane wave, designed to direct the output beam at theta= 20°.
But processing the results, it seems that at the output there are both the contributions of the incident plane wave and the desired beam.That can also be appreciated for the Bistatic RCS 2D plot:
Therefore, how it is possible to remove the incident field contribution due to the impinging plane wave?

Hi Pio,
Thanks for posting query on Ansys learning forum. As per description, I can understand that you are simulating the transmitarray with plane wave excitation source.
With plane wave incident simulation, you will be able to compute certain quantities as shown below
The plane wave is impinged on the array and gets directed as per the requirement. The output directed wave is same incident wave. There might be some reflection as well, but I don’t see a point of separation.
