SubscriberI want to simulate the heat distribution generated by nanostructure illuminated by a broadband light source. I use the following example to set up simulations: https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041686234. These simulations contain a narrowband source to illuminate the structure. When I set up broadband illumination in Lumerical simulations and import in into HEAT, it showed that only the first wavelength was imported. How do I import the broadband source?

The process to input broadband source is same. After you save the new .mat file with broadband data, make sure you reload this file in the HEAT simulation. After reloading, double-click on the Index values, and you should now be able to see up and down buttons. You can use these to look at the data for different wavelengths.

SubscriberThanks Amrita! Just to make sure, the simulation will account for the light absorbed at all wavelengths simultaneously?

I am not actually sure if it does it for all the wavelengths at one go or just the wavelength index that shows up in the object. Let me test it and confirm with you.
