SubscriberHi,everyone,
I am trying to use Fluent meshing to generate volume mesh. The surface mesh is quite good, with an average skewness 0.33 and maximum 0.75.However, when I try to generate the volume mesh, the max skewness 0.98 occur in the gap zone.Even if I use the Auto Node Move to adjust,it didn't get any better.
What should I do? This has been bothering me for a long time.
Thanks for help

Ansys EmployeeYou will reduce the surface mesh size there. If it is 2mm gap, please use 1mm on entire face.
Please go through help manual for more details

SubscriberThank you for your answer. However, just refining the local surface mesh will greatly increase the number of mesh. My computer hardware does not allow me to do this. Is there any better way to replace it?
Regards

Forum ModeratorThe solid looks to be made up of several volumes. If you unite all of these what does that do for the surface sizes (widths)? Very simply, if it's in the model it needs to be resolved in the mesh, ideally with 5-6 cells across a gap as a minimum.
