Hello , i'm trying Ansys Disovery live and i didn't found a way to update/synchronize a modified 3d model into the simulation from a 3rd party CAD. Could you please help with some information?

Discovery Live does not allow direct synchronisation with any design software.

You will have to save the design file and manually open it on Discovery Live.

We will share your idea/input with the product development team so that our developers can look into it in the upcoming versions.

I understand and it is easy to do in assembly to open file and add a new version and compare. Is there a programmable API in Ansys discovery live what we could use to sort of develop a custom solution for this, to at least automatize the process? I didn't find a doc about API level instructions, but i suspect there is someting existing on your end, just not sure if you enable customers to use that.

You can right-click on a part or component in the Structure Tree and choose Source and then Update Source from CAD.
 

When starting with a native CAD file, you can replace with a new version of the same CAD file in your simulations.

But even this feature does not synchronise with an active session but only opens a saved file.
