How to set the boundry condition?

If you give me some advices, I will really grateful.

If using GPU to simulation FDTD,how do I set the boundry condtion , in which I want to use the symmetric boundary. When I use PML boundry condition, I can get data electric field from field monitors.  Then I set symmetric boundry conditon, I can't get anything of eletric field from field monitors.

supplement:  the FDTD version is lumerical 24 R1.

      Hi,

I believe the symmteric and anti-symmetric BCs are not recognized by GPU at the moment. So, you should see the same results (same simulation volume) if you run a simulation with and without symmteric BCs on GPU. In other words, there is no advantage of using the symmetry conditions.

But you should be able to see results (same as PML) when you use them. Would you be able to copy and paste the log file for both the cases on GPU here? The log file is stored in the same directory where the simulation file is stored. It has the name filename_p0.log.

      Regards,
      Amrita
