SubscriberHello everyone,
I am running a sensitivity module with Ansys workbench as solving element in Optislang. I would like to run each workbench simulation generated during the sensitivity analysis on the HPC of my university but I don'tknow what's the best way to do it.
I cannot use RSM in the Workbench, so I was thinking of using the Putty element in Optislang but I don't understand how this interacts with the workbench element. I checked the documentation and the ten bar truss tutorial but it didn't help me.
Thank you in advance

Ansys EmployeeHi c.bruno,
my first question would be: How do you run your (manual) Simulation on the HPC today?
Then probably this workflow needs to be automatized.
The Putty node helps for data transfer cross platform from WIN to LIN, see here: PuTTY SSH (ansys.com)
And you need a Script that Solves your Simulation on the LIN side.
Best regards,Markus

SubscriberThanks Markus.
At the moment I use this script to run Fluent simulations on the HPC:
I have tried to import this script in putty with the input files:
Bu I get this type of error:
I am not sure if what I am doing is correct.
Also, this is how my original system looks like:
I am not sure where to place the putty node in order to run the workbench on the HPC.
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHi C.Bruno,
thanks for your response. I have to admit, but I can not give you detailed guidance within scope of the forum. Sorry.
I can just outline a possible way:1) creating the necessary fluent files with the Workbench node under WIN,
2) then adding a PuTTY/SSH node, sending the fluent files and execute the simulation under LIN (using a .sh file) and writing the necessary information in a text output file,
3) use the same PuTTY/SSH node to receive this output file and
4) add an ETK node to the workflow to read the results of the file. You see, getting your workflow running needs adjustments of your workflow and may also involve IT configuration e.g. of an existing password-less login (named under “System Requirements” in PuTTY SSH, PuTTY SSH (ansys.com)).
I would consider also other approaches, if possible, e.g. avoid working cross platform.
If you have access to support, you may can create a support case for a detailed discussion.
If not, maybe other forum members can contribute in the future.Best regards,
Markus
