SubscriberI am running a coal combustion case. The residual has spikes every time the discrete phase is simulated.
I kept the momentum for 1st order for momentum for 6700 iterations. But the continuity residual didn’t drop much. Once I changed momentum to 2nd order, the continuity residual jumped.
Is there any suggestion to reduce the continuity residual.

Ansys EmployeeYou must play with the under relaxation factors (DPM URF etc.) with first order scheme first, make it stable and then move to second order schemes.
