SubscriberHi,
I was doing the overlap between the far-field profile with a default gaussian beam in MODE.
I have the DFT monitor and the scat_ff_z2 monitor on the same plane. But when I do the overlap, I could get a result for "monitor" but couldn't for "scat_ff_z2".
I have already set the target wavelength to 1.55 um and confirmed that the monitors and the FDE plane are the same size. I was wondering why does this happen.Â
There were some previous discussion on this but the problem was not solved: /forum/forums/topic/d-card-name-mismatch/
Best,
Chenxi

Ansys EmployeeYou should check the name of the loaded d-card name and use it to do the overlap. I tested a dcard named "monitor" and it works fine with the gaussian beam:
The other way is to use scripting to do the overlap from the given formula. It is not difficult for scripting. Please try both methods and see which works better for you.
If the dcard does not work, you may need to update the software to the newest version.
