Subscriberhello all I am simulating a electrical small ring antenna in the near field (reactive region). In such region, the H field is supposed to be much larger than E field and it can be observed in the Field Overlays.
Â
However, when I create the near field report in Results, the report is different totally. The region of following reports are same as above plots. However, the value of mag(NearETotal) is much higher than mag(NearHTotal), which is different with above plots.
So, I am confused that which method is correct. I think the plots in Field Overlays are correct but I do not know how to export the data. I will be really appreciated if anyone can help me.
The project file is attached.

Ansys EmployeeHi MYK,
Thanks for posting your query.Â
The both the methods should give you similar results. Make sure that you are plotting fields at same region and at same frequency.
Using the near field setup, you can export the near field data. The steps are :
- Right-click the previously created near-field 'Sphere' or 'Line' or 'Rectangle' under 'Radiation' from Project Manager,
- Select 'Compute Max Parameters'
- The 'Max Field Data dialog box' appears for the selected near field 'Rectangle' as shown below.
- Click 'Export Fields', to save field data in .nfd or .csv file format.
Thanks
