In SpaceClaim, select the inner corner edge and ctrl click the outer corner edge then click the Plane button.
Use the Plane just created to split the top face, repeat on the bottom face. Now you have four edges to define the diagonal section shape.
If you want other cross-sections, create a plane to split the faces to get edges for the cross-section you want.
In Mechananical, Static Structural, you can output the deformation on the four edges of the geometry.
