how to model screws pre-load ANSYS MECHANICAL

      Dear all,

I would lie to know what is the best way to model the following situation: I have a screwed assembly and would like to (instead of geometrically describe the screw) model screw behaviour, also considering a pre-load of 30.000 N (I have used bolt pretension).

At first I have tried bolt pretension+contact geometry correction (bolt thread). Results are providing high stresses if I use frictional (frcition coefficient=0.2), but No separation is giving a much lower Von Mises stress. I am not sure if these screwed strcuture can be treated as a bolted structure...maybe a fixed joint??

In summary, how can I model this screwed contact and apply a pre-load?

Many thanks, the topic is very interesting
