How to mesh high aspect ratio structures? Long traces of thin film.

Looking for conceptual help on how to model frequency varying resistivity over a long but very thin structure. It's effectively an antenna on a chip so the metal layer that I'm modeling is 320um thick but it's made up of 100 fingers that are 1mm long and spaced at 20um pitch. I need some help understanding how to approach this. I tried just dropping it into Maxwell 3D using the AC conduction solver and I'm never able to get the meshing to function due to the extreme aspect ratio of the fingers in thickness to length.

Can anyone suggest a tutorial or a concept that would help me understand how to work with meshing and simulation in this kind of physical structure? I'm going to need to simulate multiple similar designs so I need to understand what's happening and how Ansys sees it.

      Hello Simon,

Please use eddy current solver or transient A-phi to simulate resistance in magetic field, not AC conduction with only E field.

In 23R2 version, transient A-phi solver may support ECAD and make phi meshing for thin layer structure, if eddy current solver could not mesh it.

Please use dynamic surface resolution option in inital mesh setting. If you still cannot resolve it, do you think if Q3D or HFSS is good for this simulation? Thanks.

In the 23R2 version, the transient A-phi solver in the software you mentioned may support simulating resistance in a magnetic field using eddy current analysis. This solver can handle ECAD (Eddy Current and Conductor Analysis) and provide convenient options for meshing thin layer structures by creating a mesh for the magnetic potential (phi). Run 3
