SubscriberHello everyone,
I am doing impact analysis for a concrete block using Explicit dynamics.
I used the default concrete Engineering data offered by Workbench, then added Polynomial EOS and J H strength. Both shear modulus and bulk modulus are frozen in the isotropic elasticity properties. After I had finished setup, I tried to run the solution, but I received an error message, "Concrete must have shear modulus defined," and it terminated.
Could you please help me figure out this problem?

Ansys EmployeeThe materials in the General Materials library are typically used with the MAPDL solver.
For the Explicit Dynamics system, we generally recommend selecting materials from the Explicit Materials library, as these are specifically tailored for Explicit Dynamics analyses. (See the screenshot below.)
You should only use materials from the General Materials library if you cannot find a suitable option in the Explicit Materials library.
Please follow the screen snapshot in my first response to retrieve the concrete materials from the Explicit Material library and then modify it for your use.
