How to ignore the “divergent field” error when running a script with DGTD

Hi everyone,I am working with the DGTD in Lumerical and I am using a script to run a program. However, sometimes the fields I want to simulate diverge and the following error appears.nWhen this happens, I have to go and click Quit&Save in order for the script simulation to continue. Is there some way that I do not have to do this by hand and the simulation just continues on its own? It would save me a lot of time because it is a long simulation and if I can let it run during the night without interruptions it would be great. nThanks a lot!nPD: I am not asking how to avoid the divergent fields, just how to ignore the problem. I more or less know the issue that it is causing the divergence.nn

      Hi Nusovi,

Thanks for posting your question. In DGTD (and in FDTD), you can disable the divergence check by unchecking the "use divergence checking" in the advanced option of the solver:

Note this means the simulation will not be stopped so it will run for the full simulation time set in the "General" tab.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

      Hello,

I also got an "exit code 0xc0000005" error from Lumerical in the DGTD solver. I am simulating metamaterials contained several geometries. Let me add that I checked the warning platform and there is no error. I am struggling to solve this problem for more than one week and I change my simulation parameters a lot of time but the error persists! Herein I pated the error. Any help will be highly appreciated.

      Hi SaraAbbasi,

It would be better if you could start a different discussion for your issue as it seems different. We'd also need more information about the error you get, at what stage it happens, etc.
