How to Display Mesh Animation in One-Way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI)?

      Hello everyone,

I am currently working on a one-way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis using ANSYS Workbench. I have successfully completed my CFD (ANSYS Fluent) and structural analysis (ANSYS Mechanical), and I am now looking to visualize the deformation of the structure as an animation.

Here are the steps I have taken so far:

      1. CFD Analysis: I completed the CFD simulation and saved the results.
      2. Linking Results: In ANSYS Workbench, I linked the CFD results to the structural analysis.
      3. Importing Loads: In ANSYS Mechanical, I used the "Imported Loads" option to bring in the pressure distribution from the CFD results.
      4. Structural Analysis: I ran the structural analysis to determine the deformation and stresses.

Now, I want to create and display an animation of the mesh deformation over time. I am seeking detailed guidance on the following:

      1. Steps to Create a Mesh Animation:

        • How to correctly set up the animation in ANSYS Mechanical?
        • Which specific options or settings should I use to ensure the animation accurately reflects the deformation over time?
      2. Exporting the Animation:

        • What are the best practices for exporting the animation as a video file?
        • Are there specific formats or settings recommended for high-quality exports?
      3. Synchronization:

        • How can I ensure that the time steps between the CFD and structural analysis are synchronized for accurate animation?

Any detailed instructions, tips, or references to relevant tutorials would be highly appreciated. I aim to generate an animation that clearly illustrates the deformation process and can be used for presentation purposes.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

      Best regards,
