SubscriberI am analyzing a 2D flow in a gradual contraction pipe. I am not sure if ansys can directly determine the head loss of the flow simulated.

AdministratorHello Please look at the following AIC examples and you will have an idea of how to estimate head loss in Fluent.
You should be able to download the case and data files, and the results PDF should guide you in these calculations.

SubscriberJust find the pressure at the inlet and outlet in Ansys. Then find the pressure difference.

Forum ModeratorCorrect, so you can use that to get the head loss. There's not a specific function but you can use Custom Field Functions (not as easy as Excel) and Expressions will do the job but won't report back to the solver (you'll need to open & evaluate the expression) if you can't add it to an output parameter.
