SubscriberI try to simulate a particle impact on a substrate with certain speed. How can I define a adhesive criteria, or adhesive behavior so that I can let the particle get stuck into the substrate rather than rebound in each time?
Based on common senses, particle would produce plastic deformation during the process of impingement, if the particle impact on the substrate beyond certain velocity, it might stick on the surface of the substrate.
I know this function could be realized in ABAQUS and LS-Dyna, while now, I only have component system Explicit Dynamics in Workbench and AUTODYN.
Therefore, especially, how can I realize this behavior in Explicit Dynamics?
Thank you.

SubscriberAs far as I can see and you have experienced there is no sticky type of contact like you have/mention in abaqus (cohesive interaction) in ansys explicit. -

SubscriberThis is a ansys forum so we can only comment on ansys products. So:
There is no sticky/cohesive contact in ansys explicit (autodyn).

SubscriberThanks for your answer. Is there any possibility for me to define a function inside of ansys explicit?
