SubscriberHello all!Â
I'm using Ansys APDL.
In the figure below I have I/4 of the chain link. There are 3 volumes.
In the first volume (on the right) I can create the mapped mesh without a problem via VSWEEP
The stud volume the same thing: it can be done a mapped meshed easy (vsweep).
The problem is the second volume, the one that is connected with the stud.
Is it possible to create a mapped mesh (bricks) in this part of the link?
The stud and the upper part of the chain link are glue via bollean operation
Thanks in advanced.

Ansys EmployeeNo, it's not possible with APDL meshing tools. You could get a hex dominant mesh in WB/Mechanical.
