SubscriberDear Recipient,
Â
I struggle to apply remote displacement in ANSYS APDL.
Firstly, I tried to model simple geometry and apply a remote displacement on a surface centering at the middle (let's say a simple wall out-of-plane displacement load) in ANSYS WORKBENCH.
Then; by "Write input file", I tried to import this input file by "Read input file" in APDL. It was transferred to APDL, this means it can be modelled remote displacement in APDL. But when I try to import by load step 1 and 2, it was not successful as in the first one which is containing just 1 step.
The question: How to apply remote displacement by manually or by code in APDL? Please, ask me for detailed description of the problem.

Look forward to your response.

SubscriberHi,
In Workbench, Mechancial APDL under "Component Systems" works for me, related to "5. Setup" section and then "Edit in Mechanical APDL" tab.
After entering APDL, "Sol'n Controls" section, load step 1 and 2 seperately works first, solving 1 and then 2. The results was in line with WB.
Thanks a lot Erik,
AY
