Hi everyone,
I'm a student at the University at Buffalo working on a research project that requires ANSYS Material Designer. Unfortunately, the ANSYS version my university has a license for doesn't seem to include this component. I've checked the toolbox customization and extension options, but I couldn't find it there.
I contacted my university, and they confirmed with ANSYS that we should have access to Material Designer. At this point, I'm not sure how to add it to the workbench. My university suggested I reach out to the ANSYS community for help.
I'm also hoping to add ANSYS SpaceClaim and ANSYS AutoDyn to the workbench. However, I am not sure if our university subscription includes SpaceClaim and AutoDYN. I will confirm with the university about this.
Could anyone advise on how to add these components? The version I am using is 2024R1.
Thanks,
Amrith

Hi Amrith, your university license seems to be “Ansys Academic Research Mechanical and CFD” Please check if you are using the same. This should have SpaceClaim and AutoDYN, please check with your IT team, and see if these products were installed while doing the installation. If not, try to reinstall with these selected and see if that helps?

Thank you so much. I will inform our university IT team about it so they can install it in the system I am working on.
