Subscriber-Hi, I am going to perform a topological optimization based on density and I need help on how to incorporate a safety factor condition.

To add Safety Factor Result in Topology Optimization, you will need to share the solution cell of Static Structural Analysis with Topology Optimization Analysis since Topology Optimization does not have Safety Factor Result available. In Static Structural, you can find the Safety Factor Result under the Stress Tool in Solution.

Hello, thank you for replying.
I think I have not explained myself well, I need to know how I can add a responsive constraint in relation to a safety factor. For example, I need a topological optimization with two responsive constraints:
1: a mass reduction of 80%.
2: a safety factor of 2.
Is it possible to implicitly designate a factor of safety by setting a responsed constraint of the global von mises stress?
the static structural toolbox is already linked to the topological optimization toolbox
thanks

SubscriberYou can apply a Stress Constraint and just use a value of Von Mises Equivalent Stress that is half of yield strength. That will mean a Factor of Safety of 2 on Yield.
