SubscriberHello all
My query is, how much power is applied in mode solution to find out mode in any waveguide.
How I will know, is this predefined power like 1mW or something else. Please let me know and clarify this.

The mode field profiles calculated by the FDE solver are normalized such that the maximum electric field intensity is one. This means the total power of the calculated mode will change depending on the mode being calculated. The FDE solver assumes the materials are linear, so the calculated mode profiles don't depend on the power in the waveguide mode. This means you can rescale the calculated mode profiles to get the actual electric/magnetic mode field values for a given power.
