SubscriberHello Lumerical Community,
I have been performing Steady State HEAT simulations and I was curious if the program provides you a way to get the thermal time constant from this solution. Is there a way to tell how long it takes for your system to get to steady state? I am trying to match the solution found in my steady state to a solution found in transient but it is not so easy.
Best!

Ansys EmployeeHi Thanks for reaching out. Like you suggested, you need to run transient simulation to estimate the time needed for reaching steady-state (time response is not provided in steady-state mode). Here is a video presenting a basic example of setting up a transient simulation in HEAT. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Kind regards
