The Prandtl number defines if the heat conduction (Pr <<1) or convection (Pr>>1) dominates in the process.

AdministratorTrue, consider also that on a different point of view, the Prandtl number indicates when the thermal sub-layer is larger (Pr<1) or thinner (Pr>1) than the viscous sub-layer.

Ansys EmployeeHello @prajput , The Prandtl number is the ratio of the momentum diffusivity to the thermal diffusivity:
Pr = nu/ alpha
where
nu is the kinematic viscosity
alpha is the thermal diffusivity
