Hi, I'm designing helmholtz resonator as silencer and i want to ananlyze my model how much this model can reduce noise. i use Harmonic-acoustics, but transmission loss and absorption coefficent have shown opposite results. as you can see, at the frequency(Hz) where transmission loss is low, the absorption coeffiecient is high. i want to know which of transmission loss and absorption coefficient shows the amount of noise reduction properly.

transmission loss is common FE result for silencers.
